1. What food will you be describing?
Bibingka
2. What are some special memories it has for you?
When I was a little girl, everytime we had family get togethers & outings, my mom would always cook it & she still does. She'd always ask me to mix the ingredients & mix them all together. It will & always will be my mom's favorite dish to make.
3. What are some sensory details that will help bring the food "to life" for your readers?
To bring my dish to life, I'm going to be talking bout the way it looks like, the way it tastes & smells, & how delicate & soft it feels like.
4. Who will you be interviewing about your food?
My mom.
Hi Melissa,
ReplyDeleteFor this blog brainstorm, you needed to actually include some of the specific details about your food and about the memories you have of it...in the blog. I am assessing your understanding of the concept of "specific detail" and "sensory detail" so you need to give me examples to show me you understand it.

To me, bibingka is mouthwatering & delicate. When it comes out of the oven, I can smell the sweetness & fluff in it. It has such a beautiful brownish- goldish texture to it. It looks gorgeous when it's popped straight out of the oven. When I hold them, of course it's hot, but it doesn't matter because I'm usually focused on the smell of the warm, delicious treat.
